I have no idea what to write anymore.

It’s just… gone.

It’s not like I can’t write, like there’s thoughts in my head that won’t come out.

There’s just… no thoughts.

Except for this: that I don’t know what to write anymore.

Which speaks more? Words? Or silence?

  1. Well, I’ve been pondering this for a few days now. Sometimes the silence that He puts us in can be very fruitful. Makes us listen all the more in our quiet time with Him. At least for me, it makes me want more quiet time. Do I make time always for this? With regret, no. The busy-ness of life, all the distractions find me sometimes pleading in the car for Him to be in my words, in my hearing, in my heart so that when I get to where I’m going, it will be pleasing to Him.

On another side of the silence, can be discouragement, or desolation. For me, that’s when I have to fight it off. Praising Him, sometimes in song, sometimes in dance, but praising Him until I’m better. Reading Scripture until I’m “full” also helps me.

If the silence is His, and if the words are His, both are fruitful. If we place ourselves in His silence, healing can happen. If we place our words in His care, who can stand against us? The Psalms always help me regain my balance…. Hope this helps. For what it’s worth, I always enjoy your musings. I hope you muse on…. God bless you!

    • Thank you, Janet. Such encouragement you bring! I so appreciate you! And I agree, it helps when I read scripture until I’m “full” — a great way to put that! 🙂

It seems the silence has been broken! So I hope you enjoy the most recent post, and I think there are others surfacing.

      God bless you, too!
